The picture looks like an array of lines manipulated into illusions, with a center of focus at the two large parallelograms in the center of the piece. The media is pencil. One new skill I learned was how to use value to make an object look as if it appeared in front of another object. The main art elements I used was value, relative size, overlap, shapes, edge and surface. The mood of this piece is relatively staccato, because all the lines are straight and edges are sharp. There are no curved lines to add softness to the piece. One thing this piece could mean is that there is no flexibility- the piece is adamant, and will not shift or change in light of a circumstance. I am able to draw this conclusion because there are only straight lines drawn.
